Meet Matty, Mrs. Gelato and baby Gelato
Matthew Cairo is a young entrepreneur who has always dreamed of owning his own business. He decided he wanted to infuse his love of entrepreneurship and his Italian Heritage together to make a product he knew everyone would love and enjoy. Matty was determined to create irresistible, hand-crafted, authentic Italian Gelato.
Matty moved to New Haven, Connecticut, to learn more about the art of making Gelato, where he studied under a Gelato Master from Italy. He gained experience making, tasting, and perfecting his gelato practice. Matty knew he needed to share his Gelato with the community. He searched high and low for the perfect location to open a family-owned and operated Gelateria. Being born and raised in South Florida, he knew he found his place in the Plaza La Mer in Juno Beach, Florida. Matty takes pride in his homemade, fresh, Italian Gelato, hand-crafted to perfection daily. Come on in, and enjoy a little taste of Italy in Juno Beach!
Matty opened Matty's Gelato Factory in March of 2017. In 2019, Matty's was named one of the top 5 Ice Cream shops in the country by Yelp and ranked Best Ice Cream in the state of Florida by Travel and Leisure and Food and Wine magazines. In 2021, Matty's was named Best Dessert in Florida by Yelp. We've been ranked in the top 3 desserts in Palm Beach county in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 and we just ranked Best Ice Cream/ Frozen yogurt in Palm Beach County.
